The Hello Device SS110 is a Linux-based universal device server that makes legacy serial devices manageable through an industry-standard Ethernet network.

Based on open network protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP, it offers ultimate flexibility. With the PPPoE (PPPover-Ethernet) connection feature of the HelloDevice Super series, the RS232/422/485 serial devices can be managed over a DSL-based broadband network.

Thanks to its Linux OS inside, users can fully customise their SS110. They can implement their own protocol very effectively, and even make their own stand-alone software to download into the SS110 as if it's a standard feature. Users can also customise and program the SS110 website according to their exact application.

The PCMCIA slot of the SS110 makes it more flexible. The types of PCMCIA card supported are LAN, WLAN, Modem, ATA/CF, etc. Thanks to the SS110's powerful customisation feature together with PC cards, the SS110 can be virtually applied to any kind of special application.

With the rich broadband network connectivity protocols such as DHCP, PPPoE and Dynamic DNS, users can easily manage the legacy serial devices over broadband internet with a DSL or cable modem connection. The built-in Dynamic DNS protocol of the HelloDevice Super Series enables you to access the serial devices with their domain names.

The HelloDevice Super Series also provides the full-featured system management functionality of system status display, firmware upgrade, remote reset and system log display via Telnet, serial console port or web.

The HelloDevice Super series is easy to configure and administrate, with the full-featured management functions of status monitor, remote reset, error log monitor and firmware upgrade, using Telnet and serial console port under the password protection support.

For critical applications of secure data communication, the Hello Device Super series supports SSLv2, SSLv3 and TLSv1 for data encryption. An IP address filtering function is also provided for protecting unintentional data streams to be transmitted to the HelloDevice Super series.
